For the past four months, Fiesta Salon has been closed due to the May 19 flooding, which brought two and half feet of water into their store. The business, located in Gilstrap Shopping Center has been in Salem for 27 years and is hoping to revive their business thanks to their remodel.
Stylist Rachel Barger said the same great staff is still there and they are anxious for their customers to return. They currently have five stylists working in the store.
“We have a lot of good sales going on right now,” she said, adding that they have a Clip for the Cure campaign coming up. On Saturday, Oct. 21, get your hair cut to help find a cure. The store will donate 10% of the proceeds from every haircut that day to the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.
The business offers cuts, colors, highlights, perms, waxing and roller sets.
They also have senior discounts Monday through Friday.
The store is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“We appreciate the community coming back in,” she said. “We are trying to get things going again now that we are open.”
They have all new flooring, chairs and more. They also now have a handicap accessible bathroom.
