County commissioners discuss bridge report


The Washington County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday, Feb. 7, and handled the following business:

DISCUSSED: Commissioners received a report from Leo Rumschlag, the county’s bridge engineer. He is contracted to inspect the county’s bridges. Currently, the three in the most need of repair are located along Eastern School Road, Old State Road 56, and along Main Street in Pekin.

APPROVED: Commissioners passed a resolution so they can offer 10 properties deemed “severely delinquent” on property taxes at a commissioners’ sale. The minimum bid was set at $100.
