Applications are being accepted for the Indiana Youth Cadet Law Enforcement Academy, which provides firsthand experience and insight into operations of law enforcement agencies.

The 2018 academy will be limited to the first 50 registered applicants, so those interested in the program need to apply soon. Registration is open to boys and girls currently in grades 9 through 12. Cadets will participate in physical training, conduct their own crime scene investigations, hear from experts in the criminal justice field and watch police demonstrations.

This is a great opportunity for those considering law enforcement as a potential career choice.

The fee is $300 per cadet, and the academy will be held at the University of Indianapolis campus July 15-20.
