Salem and Eastern headed to Regional Finals

The Lady Lions and Lady Musketeers emerged victorious in their opening games on Saturday morning. Salem dispatched last year's state runner-up Greensburg 59-45. Leah Miller had 24 points to lead Salem to the win. They will play Gibson Southern at 7:30 p.m. at Charlestown in the championship game.
Eastern had to come from behind to beat South Knox 46-41. They trailed most of the game, including by 10 in the second quarter but fought off foul trouble to advance to the championship game. They will face Evansville Mater Dei in at Paoli at 8 p.m.
West Washington ran into a buzzsaw against Tecumseh as they saw their season come to an end with a 60-39.
