Hamilton to play for Illinois College

A Salem soccer standout from last fall will be headed to Illinois College this fall. Bryan Hamilton will be playing on the pitch for the Blueboys.

Illinois College is a NCAA Division three school in Jacksonville, Illinois. It is just west of Springfield. They play in the Midwest Conference.

Hamilton said he chose Illinois College because they took a serious interest in him. “I chose Illinois College because they were the first team to take a serious interest in me. They constantly stayed in contact with me from the time that I was a junior. Once I was able to get on campus to meet with the coach and the players, that is when I fell in love. The campus was exactly what I was looking for, the coach was exactly what I wanted in a coach, and the overall atmosphere around the campus just really stuck with me.”
