EHS Baseball Advances, SHS and WW fall

The Musketeers were the lone baseball team to come out with a win on Wednesday night in the opening round of sectional play. Eastern took an early 1-0 lead on Paoli before expanding it to 6-1 with a 2 RBI double from Brant Farris. Eastern will play Lanesville on Saturday at noon in the semi-final round.
Salem hung with Silver Creek into the late hours of the night but the Dragons had too much firepower for the Lions to overcome. An RBI single from Brandon Pepmeier scored Danny Bowling to make it 5-2 in the fourth but that was a close as Salem could get falling 13-4.
West Washington played Trinity Lutheran in the opener and led 1-0 in the third, but the Cougar offense awakened and was too much for the Senators as they fell 14-3.
