Washington County Drug Team makes arrests Monday afternoon

Just before 2:45 p.m. on Monday, July 9, the Washington County Drug Team executed an arrest warrant on Adam Thurman, 30, Salem. The warrant was the result of several months of investigation.

The team was able to locate and arrest Thurman in a vehicle on South Main Street, seizing various drug related items and placing them into evidence.

Thurman’s passenger, Joshua Hill, 26, Salem, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Orange County’s Superior Court.

Both men were arrested without further incident.

Thurman was arrested for his outstanding warrants of three counts of dealing in a narcotic drug and three counts of possession of a narcotic drug. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $30,000 cash-only bond.

Hill was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on the Orange County warrant.
