Wanted man arrested on additional drug charges

Washington County - A Pekin man wanted for possession of methamphetamine faces new drug charges after attempting to flee from Troopers Friday evening. 

Shortly after 7 p.m., Troopers Kyle Taylor, Cameron Collins, and Jeremy Simcoe arrived at a May Drive residence in Fredericksburg, Indiana armed with a warrant for Cassidy Marion, 34, of Pekin, Indiana.  The warrant was for possession of methamphetamine. 

Upon arriving at the residence, Troopers made contact with Marion, who immediately fled on foot into the woods; however, the officers took chase and were soon able to apprehend him.   At the time of his arrest, Troopers allegedly found additional suspected drugs and paraphernalia on Marion. 

Cassidy Marion was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail without further incident.  In addition to the original warrant, Marion is charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine - Level 3 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine - Level 6 Felony, Possession of Paraphernalia - Class A Misdemeanor, and Resisting Law Enforcement - Class A Misdemeanor.
