Search warrant leads to two arrests

On Sunday, Dec. 10, at approximately 11:01 pm, Deputy Tory Hildreth of the Washington County Sheriff's Department initiated a traffic stop on a red Ford F-150, on Lockwood Avenue in Salem for a cracked tail light and for failure to use a turn signal. Deputy Hildreth made observations during the traffic stop which caused him to request assistance with the traffic stop. Deputy Brad Naugle of the Washington County Sheriff's Department and Officers Chad Webb and Russell Wilcoxson of the Salem City Police Department assisted with the traffic stop.

Items observed in plain view led to the arrest of the driver and a passenger in the vehicle. Statements made by the occupants, along with the items seized from the vehicle, led to a search warrant that was issued for the driver's residence. 

On Dec. 11, at approximately 12:59 am, Washington County Sheriff's Deputies Tory Hildreth, Brad Naugle, Allen Taylor and Salem City Police Officers Chad Webb and Russell Wilcoxson executed a search warrant at 2552 West Cox Ferry Road in Salem.

Officers seized numerous items from the residence, which led to the various drug charges on the following subjects;

Eric W. Guthrie, age 40 of Salem;

Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, 13 counts of Possession of a Legend Drug, 2 counts of Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of a Synthetic Lookalike Drug, Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Cocaine or Narcotics Drug (Heroin),
2 counts of Possession of Paraphernalia, 2 counts of Possession of Methamphetamine, Dealing in Methamphetamine, Dealing in a Cocaine or Narcotic Drug (Heroin) and 2 counts of Possession of Marijuana.

Cierra D. Kneiriem, age 20 of Salem,

Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

ALL SUSPECTS ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
