Autopsy results for the unidentfied boy found in rural Washington County on April 16 were released Friday afternoon.

Indiana State Police Public Information officer Carey Huls said at a press conference the cause of death was an electrolyte embalance caused by extreme vomitting and diarrhea. The autopsy showed no significant injuries.

At this point the case is still being considered a death investigation and not a homicide.

"That can change at any moment," Huls said. "At this point, however, it is a death investigation."

Huls said the body was clean and clothed inside the suitcase.

The boy is believed to be 5-years-old, weighing 40 pounds with a slim build and is 46 inches tall.

Huls said he knows someone out there knows something.

"He did not put himself in the suitcase and put himself on Holder Road," Huls said. "We know someone out there knows something and we are asking them to come forward."

Huls said investigators are not ruling out the fact the boy could be from outside of the country.

Anyone with information about the boy is encouraged to call the ISP tip line at 1-800-872-6743.

A funeral service will be held for the boy Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Weathers. The service will be shown on the Weathers Funeral Home facebook page.
