Attending the recent National Head Start Association's 26th annual training conference in Minneapolis was Debbie Beeler, director of Children's Services for Hoosier Uplands. 

Zach Lawson and Jordan Powell, both 8th graders at Salem Middle School, received a closely contested 2nd place finish at the Association of Indiana Media Educators State Media Fair. 

Members of Salem's Urban Beautification Committee joined with Mayor Doug Campbell and other city officials in welcoming "The Party Palace" to Salem. The store, located on S. Main St., offers a variety of party supplies and balloon bouquets. 

The 3rd annual Kendra E. Zink Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Hidden Creek Golf Course. They raised $15,400. 

Wayne Madison, owner of USA Safety, recently presented Home Federal Savings Bank manager Kim Misamore with an award recognizing the bank's dedication to safety. 

West Washington 7th graders sweep the street in front of the Campbellsburg Town Hall. The students helped clean up the town as part of their Advisor/Advisee class project.
