Mr. Wilburn “Wib” Rose age 74 of Salem passed away Monday, September 10 at his home.

Mr. Rose was born August 9, 1944 in Breathitt County, Kentucky the son of Robert and Mahala Noble Rose.  He was a graduate of Salem High School.  He retired from UPS in 1995 as a delivery route driver.  He was a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church, Farmer’s Club, and Bunker Hill Senior’s Group.  He formerly served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife:  Brenda Elrod Rose.  They were married July 15, 1967.  He is also survived by two sons:  Tim Rose (Lisa) and Scott Rose both of Salem, and four grandchildren:  Kayla, Jacob, Landon and Jonathan Rose.  He was preceded in death by a brother:  John Rose and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
