Thelma F. Anderson

Thelma F. Anderson, 90, of Crothersville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Keepsake Village in Columbus, Indiana.  She was born on August 8, 1927 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late William Carl Hamilton and Rosa (Newman) Hamilton. 

Thelma graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1946 and loved to watch basketball, especially Indiana University and the Los Angeles Lakers.  She  was a retired janitor from the Crothersville Community Schools and also a former employee of the old U.S. Shoe Factory.  Thelma was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church near Austin, Indiana and also attended Cana United Methodist Church for many years. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Anderson on March 24, 2002; two brothers, Bob and Bill Hamilton and three sisters, Mildred Vail, Audrey Clark and Esther Mae Cutshall.  Survivors include two daughters, Debra and her husband Tony McClellan of Salem, Indiana and Tamela and her husband Larry Summa of Columbus, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Jordyn, Allyson and Lance Hackman, Abbey and Allie McClellan, RaeAnn and Lawyer Wintin, Taylor, Makinsey and Ethan Summa and one great grandson, Aden McClellan. 

 Funeral Service: 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Herald officiating. 

Visitation: 10 am to 12 Noon Thursday. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
