Sheryl Rae (Bell) Davis

Sheryl Rae Bell Davis went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2020.

Sheryl was born April 3, 1938 to Hubert and Phyllis Fordyce Bell. The second of four daughters. She married Albert Leroy Davis February 16, 1957, shortly after his return from the Army. Her parents and sister, Sharon Bundy all preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband Albert Leroy Davis, son Gary Davis of Borden, daughter Sherry (Dave) Robertson of Pekin, three grandsons Chris Robertson, Brad (Kim) Robertson and Travis (Teah) Davis. Three great-grand children, Abel Davis, Luke and Lily Robertson; Sisters Karen (Lionel) Elzy and Jaquetta (Boyd) Wright, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sheryl was a lifelong member of Borden Church Christ. She was baptized as a young teenager. She enjoyed helping with VBS and church dinners. Sheryl started working very early in life picking strawberries and then helping her dad with the farm. She was a babysitter to the Fordyce, Trainer and Wright children. After raising her children, Sheryl worked for 32 years as manager of Borden School Cafeteria. She enjoyed cleaning, gardening and being on the farm she had lived 81 years of her life. She loved using her hands: quilting, crocheting and made many afghan and lace pieces, giving many away as gifts.

There will be a private family graveside service, April 1, 2020.

Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
