Sanford Humphrey

Sanford L. Humphrey of Louisville passed away on Thursday September 27, 2018 at the age of 87.  He was born June 19, 1931 in Greenville, IN. to Walter and Nellie Wagner Humphrey who preceded him in death as well as his siblings.  He lived part of his life in Salem, IN and the past 35 years in Louisville, KY. 

He survived by his wife of 61 years, Janice Easton Humphrey; two sons, Kevin L. Humphrey and Ron Steven Humphrey; two grandchildren, Amanda Humphrey Hurley (Mick) and Sara Leann Humphrey; two great grandchildren, Cassie and Connor; and sister in law, Polly Humphrey of Salem, IN.

Sanford served four years in the U.S. Airforce which included the Korean War.  He retired after 31 years with the Bell System (AT&T).

A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday September 30, 2018 at Ratterman Funeral Home 3711 Lexington Rd., “in St. Matthews” with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday September 29, 2018 at the funeral home.
