Mr. Roy Eugene Wingler age 75, of Brownstown, passed away Sunday, July 29 at Columbus Regional Hosptial.

Mr. Wingler was born December 29, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of Frank and Celia Robbins Wingler.  He was a member of Christian Heritage Chapel.  He was an over the road truck driver for over 40 years, retiring in 1990. 

On February 23, 1963, Roy married Barbara Leathermon.  He is survived by his wife:  Barbara Wingler of Brownstown, two sons:  Gilbert W. (Laura) VanWinkle of Seymour and Kent (Denise) Wingler of Scottsburg, a brother:  Lester (Elaine) Wingler of Medora, four grandchildren:  Gregory and Allison VanWinkle and Brandon and Steven Wingler, two great-grandchildren:  Zacary and McKinsie VanWinkle, four nephews and one niece, and two cousins:  Tom Wilcutt and Betty Clampett, who were like his brother and sister. 

He was preceded in death by a sister:  Marie Jones, cousin:  Hershel and his wife, Hazel Wilcutt, with whom he lived, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from Noon-time of service.
