Mr. Robert K. Lewellen, age 78, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, June 30 at Salem Crossing.

Mr. Lewellen was born July 17, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky the son of Kenneth Robert and Mildred Louise Kimball Lewellen.  He was a retired salesman for Silco Laundry Inc.  He was an avid automobile racer and a navy veteran.

He is survived by a son:  Kenny Ray Lewellen of Jeffersonville, a daughter Debra K. Lewellen of New Albany, three sisters:  Mary Lou Foster of Greenville, Pauline Joyce Damon and Lequita Joy Hesford of Jacksonville, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a son:  Robert Dale Lewellen, two brothers:  Roger Dale Lewellen and Walter Edward Lewellen and his parents. 

Cremation was chosen and no services will be held.
