Robert "Bob" Hurst

Robert "Bob" V. Hurst, 92, a life-time resident of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019. Bob was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served under General George S. Patton during WWII and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming.

He was born on July 18, 1927 in Borden, Indiana to the late Bert and Violet (Standiford) Hurst. Along with his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his infant sister, Martha Hurst.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Pauline V. Hurst; daughters, Carol (Randy) Dotson and Patricia "Ann" (Rusty) Burnett; grandchildren, Melanie Keller, Trent (Brittany) Dotson, Tony  Dotson, and Derek Dotson; great-grandsons, Andrew Cissna, Nick Cissna, and Eli Keller; and sister, Mary Reed.

A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden, Indiana with burial to follow.

The family requests that contributions in Bob’s memory be made to Borden Lions Club.
