Mrs. Opal M. Worman age 89 of Pekin passed away Monday, January 15 at her home.

Mrs. Worman was born February 15, 1928 in Salem the daughter of John and Mary Hamilton Collier.  She was a retired employee of Smith Cabinet Company and a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church.

Opal was preceded in death by her first husband:  John Cookson, she then married James F. “Jack” Worman and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2010.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter:  Donna Worman, a brother:  Henry Collier, three sisters:  Edna Harvey, Lyda Daughtery and Alma Winnent, a granddaughter and her parents.

She is survived by a son:  Mark Worman (Denise) of Salem, five daughters:  Joyce Lemarr (Bobby) of Pekin, Janet Roop (Gary) of Campbellsburg, Denise “Penny” Hancock of Pekin, Diana Elrod (Leo) of Pekin, and Darlene “Shorty” Pixley (Mark) of Pekin, two brothers:  Lewis and Frank Collier, a sister:  Freda Meadors, 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
