Mrs. Norma Jean Smith, age 80, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, March 25 at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home in New Albany.

Mrs. Smith was born August 10, 1939 in Blue Moon, Kentucky the daughter of Lilburn and Fay Hatfield Hall.  She was a retired Registered Nurse at Meadowview Health and Rehab in Salem.  She was a member of Pekin Church of Christ.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband:  Albert G. Smith, 2 brothers, 7 sisters,  a great-granddaughter: Macy Johnson, and her parents.  She is survived by a son:  Timothy “Buddy” Smith (Donna) of Pekin, two daughters:  Paula Grimsley (Steve) of New Albany and Janet Hilderbrand of Seymour, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private graveside services will be held at Olive Branch Cemetery.
