Morris E.  Hoar age 93 of Campbellsburg passed away Monday December 18 at Salem Crossing.

Mr. Hoar was born December 13, 1924 in Salem, Indiana the son of Bert and Edith Morris Hoar. He was a farmer, member of Mount Tabor Christian Church, member of the Farm Bureau, served two terms as a county council member, and was a former board member of Jackson County REMC. He was a Marine WWII veteran.

He is survived by his sons: Robert Hoar (Carol), and David Hoar (Sherri) all of Salem, two daughters: Connie Yeaton (Richard) of Columbus, IN, and Marcia Parkhurst (Bruce) of Toledo, Ohio, daughter-in-law: Ann Hoar of Salem, one sister: Jeannette Hart of Salem, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.

On December 13, 1942, he married Betty Clevenger.  He is preceded in death by his wife:  Betty Clevenger Hoar, a son:  Donald Hoar, a sister:  Helen Purkhiser and his parents. 

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Mt. Tabor Christian Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8P.M. at the funeral home and Friday from 9A.M.-time of service at the church.  Memorial donations can be made to Mt. Tabor Cemetery fund, Hospice, or charity of choice.
