Martin Jackson Barrett

Martin Jackson Barrett, 85, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born June 15, 1933, he was the son of Gilbert and Gracie (Daughety) Barrett in Livermore, Kentucky.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a cabinet maker at Kitchen Kompact. He attended Hamburg Church of Christ.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and a brother.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy D. Barrett, Borden; a son, Derrick Barrett, Sellersburg; daughters Gilda Hattabaugh and Sheila Jackson, both of Pekin; a brother, James Barrett, Kentucky; a sister, Mary Hamilton, Kentucky; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 28 at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with burial following in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Borden.
