Lenora Ann (Markwell) Wuest

Lenora Ann (Markwell) Wuest, age 80, passed away on Saturday December 7, 2019 at her home.

She was born on February 24, 1939 in Wickliff, IN to Charles and Carrie (Deich) Young. Lenora was a member of the Hardinsburg United Methodist Church. She retired from and was a bank manager for the First Harrison Bank in Hardinsburg. Lenora was a member of the Kays Chapel Cemetery Board. She was a graduate of English High School. Lenora enjoyed playing the piano, community and church activities, motorcycle riding, bowling, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Eugene Thomas Markwell, one brother Laverne Charles Young, two sisters Thelma Ailene Young, and Wilma Jean Young Vandeveer.

Lenora is survived by her husband Guenther Wuest, one son Eugene Thomas Markwell, II. , one step-daughter Susan Wainwright. One brother Roger Young, one sister Norma Lee Young Spears, two grandchildren Corey Alexander Markwell and Kayla Marie Markwell, and one step grandson Charlie Braico.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday December 12, 2019 at the Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN with burial in the Kay’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday December 11, 2019 and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
