Lee E. Nale, age 82, of Salem, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 2, 2018 at his residence. Born on January 28, 1936 in Salem, he was the son of the late Emerson & Mamie (Marshall) Nale. On December 30, 1956 he married Judy (Stewart) Nale, she survives.

Lee served 10 years in the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of the VFW Post 6636 where he served on the Color Guard. He was also a member of the American Legion Post # 41 & the Moose Lodge. He was retired from Naval Ordinance in Louisville. He was a member of Old Blue River Christian Church. He graduated from the Old Pekin High School Class of 1955. He enjoyed traveling, hunting & fishing, & he had a true love for Pull Tabs.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Nale of Salem; 2 sons, Mike Nale & his wife Diane of Pekin & Jim Nale & his wife Denise of Salem; sister, Mildred Coleman of Fishers, Indiana; 5 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother Norman Nale.

The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be Wednesday from 4-8 PM, and Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Old Blue River Christian Cemetery. Wayne Adams will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW Post 6636 Color Guard.
