Kevin Markland

Kevin D. Markland, 56, Neptune, New Jersey, died Sunday, June 10, 2018, at home.

He was born in Indiana. Kevin graduated from Marlboro High School (New Jersey) in 1980. After high school, Kevin enlisted in the U.S. Navy and traveled the world as an air traffic controller. He enjoyed a long career in the food and beverage service, and enjoyed cheering on the South Carolina Game Cocks.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Pamula Markland, and his grandparents, James and Margaret Markland, and Cleo Emery, all of Pekin.

He is survived by his father, Sammy K. Markland, Pekin; his daughters, Jessika Rae and Rebecka Lee, Delmar, New Jersey; two sisters, Tonya Naugle, and Lara Markland, both of Pekin; a brother, Toby Markland, North Carolina; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held last week in New Jersey, where he resided.
