John Edward Burris, Jr.

John Edward Burris Jr., 47, Snellville, Georgia, died Aug. 8, 2019.

John was born on Aug. 17, 1971, in Ft. McClellan, Alabama, to John Burris and Judy Burris.

John had two wonderful children Elisabeth and Alex Burris born on June 23, 2001. John was employed at Vulcan Materials in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was over I.T. at several of their facilities. John loved to go fishing, enjoyed vacation with his family at the beach, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

John was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and by a brother Trevor Lee Burris. John is survived by his father, John (Rhonda) Burris, Delta, Alabama; mother, Judy Burris, Pekin; two brothers, Greg Burris, Indiana, Randall Burris, Florida, and two sisters, Tonya (Seth) Marshall, Indiana, and Tabatha (Nick) Hollingsworth, Georgia; two stepsisters Nikki (Mark) Maddox, Alabama, and Brandi (Jason) Childs. He also has numerous nieces and nephews and one great niece.

A memorial service will be held at Legacy of Life Church Sept. 7, at 2 p.m.
