James Pavey

James Carlton Pavey, age 50, Hardinsburg, passed away Sunday September 16, 2018 after an illness at the Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany. He was born on October 10, 1967 to Raymond Pavey and Alice (Sanders) Pavey in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of West Washington High School, Class of 1986. James attended the Fellowship Baptist Church in Hardinsburg. James was a tour guide and volunteer coordinator for Indiana Landmarks in French Lick, IN. He loved history and sharing history and stories with others. James enjoyed traveling and decorating.

James is survived by his parents, Raymond and Alice Pavey of Hardinsburg. Three sisters: Kathy Ball of Hardinsburg, Sandy Pavey of Hardinsburg, and Mary Lou Clark of Rochelle, Georgia. Six brothers: Donald (Sarah) Pavey of Paoli, Gary (Patty) Pavey of Hardinsburg, Jerry (Bonnie) Pavey of Crandall, Hank (Jennifer) Pavey of Salem, Anthony (Kristy) Pavey of Hardinsburg, and Andrew Pavey of Salem.  Considered Shawn (Marie) Eastridge, as a son and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 21, 2018 at the Love Funeral Home in Palmyra with burial in the Hardinsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 and Friday, September 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. till time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Indiana Landmarks, 1201 Central Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
