Helen Maxine Warren

Helen Maxine Warren, 92, died Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Lincoln Hills Health Center in New Albany. 

She was born on Nov. 10, 1927, in Greenville, to John R. and Alice Mae (Cunningham) Thompson. Helen worked for several businesses including A&P Groceries where she was an office manager. She was a loving mother who enjoyed farming, taking care of her cows, gardening, watching IU Basketball, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Thompson. 

She is survived by one son, Rick (Theresa) Warren; a daughter Vickie (Steve) Shuffitt; one sister, Nancy Crecelius; two grandchildren Stacy Warren, and Thaddeus R. Warren, and three great – grandchildren Maxwell Warren, Theodore Warren and Talyn Jackson.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 27, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra with burial in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2020, and from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Helen’s name to Greenville United Methodist Church at 9449 Harrison St., Greenville, IN 47124.
