Mrs. Dolly M. Martin age 89 of New Albany passed away Saturday, December 15 at Clark Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Martin was born September 16, 1929 in Wooten, Kentucky the daughter of William Sparks and Polly Bailey Sparks. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. She was retired from Smith Cabinet Company in Salem.

Dolly is preceded in death by her husband: Junior Martin, three brothers: Otis Sparks, Johnny Sparks, and James Sparks, a sister: Bertha Hendrix, and her parents.

She is survived by three daughters: Sharon Shepherd of Paris, Kentucky, Shelia Beams of Pekin, Indiana and Andrea Mattingly of New Albany, Indiana, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12PM- until time of service at the funeral home.
