Ms. Cyrene E. Davis age 87 of Salem passed away Sunday, August 12 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Ms. Davis was born December 25, 1930 in Washington County the daughter of Alvie and Ida Fredrick Overton. She worked at Childcraft for 29 years.  She was a member of the Church of God.

Cyrene is survived by two sons:  Gary Davis of Salem, and Aaron Davis (Lori) of Salem, a daughter:  Dinah Cook (George) of Pekin, 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers:  Roscoe and Raymond Overton, her parents and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8PM and Wednesday from 10AM-time of service.
