Crystal Singer

Crystal Spence Singer, 93, formerly of Salem, died on Nov. 10, 2020, in Ft. Collins, Colorado. She was born in Jackson County on July 26, 1927, to the late Orville and Ada Coker Spence.  Crystal married Malcolm Keith Singer on Dec. 7, 1947, in Medora. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2007.  She was a member of the Driftwood Christian Church. 

Over the years Crystal worked for Medora Bank, Vallonia Canning Company, and Marion Kay.  She also worked alongside her husband at Shanks Abstract & Title Company.  Crystal had a passion for quilting and gardening.

Survivors include her children, Gloria Sue (Bill) Krowczyk of Colorado and Dennis Keith (Cheryl) Singer of New Palestine, Indiana; grandchildren, Chad Lawrence, Michelle Dawn Bloomer, and Jason Matthew Singer; and eight great-grandchildren; tow half-brothers and two half-sisters.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at the Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Driftwood Christian Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association and can be mailed to Johnson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 24, Vallonia, IN  47281.
