Christina Reister

Christina Reister, 45, of Charlestown, IN, passed away at 9:54 AM, Sunday, June 24, 2018 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Born October 27, 1972 in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of William White and Lola (Gibson) White, who survive in Henryville, IN.

Christina was a 1991 Henryville High School graduate.  She was employed for over five years at the Memphis McDonalds as a manager. She attended the Henryville Church of God, loved photography, traveling, mowing  grass, flower gardening, butterflies, and nature.

Christina was an extremely giving person. She, her husband Matt, their friends and family have worked the last several years collecting toys and baby items to distribute to kids in the hospital on Christmas morning, otherwise known as, “Direct Link to a Smile”. All of the items were donated in memory of their son, Joseph Reister, who passed away on October 16, 2011. Christina made one last selfless donation, she an organ donor and will help many others in need with these gifts.

On April 3, 2009 in Jeffersonville, IN, she married Matt Reister who survives in Charlestown, IN.

Other survivors, 4 children, Allen McCowan, William Reister, Nicholas Wojton, and Kassie White, 3 granddaughters, Kira Huckleberry, Kailey Meek, and Josie Meek, siblings, Tony White of Underwood and Marina Hagan of Lexington, IN, mothers and father in law, Bill (Marjorie Morris) Reister, of Salem, IN, mother in law, Linda (Looney) Browder, of Henryville, IN, brother in law, Jason Reister, many friends and family members.

Christina was preceded in death by her two sons, Joseph and Andrew Christopher Reister, 3 precious angels, and 1 brother, Timmy White.

Pastor Leon Armstrong will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and after 10:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. After the funeral services, cremation is being entrusted to the Adams’ and burial of the cremains will be in Clarks Chapel Cemetery.   

The family requests that expressions of sympathy may be given to Adams Family Funeral Home to help the Reister family with the funeral expenses c/o Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 209 S. Ferguson, St., Henryville, IN 47126.
