Charles I. Collins

Charles I. Collins, 81, a native of Washington County, son of Martha and Wayne Collins, died at his home Oct. 30, 2018.
After five years of service in the U.S. Air Force, he moved to St. Louis in 1960 and worked as a heavy equipment operator in the St. Louis area for 57 years. During the last five years before he retired he purchased a farm in Missouri where he raised beef cattle.
His wife of 57 years, Joyce, died in March 2018.
He is survived by three sons, Chuck and Michael of St. Louis and Joey of Gary; a grandson and a brother, Stuart, of Sellersburg.
Burial was at Jefferson Barrick National Cemetery in St. Louis.
