Beverly Ledford

Beverly A. Ledford, 69, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Scott Memorial Hospital.  She was born on February 11, 1948 in Washington County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Leslie Melvin Howell and Ethel May (Barley) Howell.  Beverly was a homemaker and a Christian.  She also was a great mechanic and worked on cars and motorcycles.  Beverly loved NASCAR and her favorite driver was Jimmy Johnson.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Danny Ledford; four brothers, James, Leon, William Thomas and Melvin Lloyd Howell and two sisters, Patty Lou Howell and Norma J. Gabbard.

Survivors include a son, Michael D. Ledford  (Maryland Hopper) of Scottsburg, Indiana; two daughters, Linda J. Sweet of Scottsburg, Indiana and Pamela K. Wilson (Robert) of Austin, Indiana; three brothers, Harold Howell of Scottsburg, Indiana, Johnny Howell of Salem, Indiana and Ervin Howell of South Haven, Michigan; two sisters, Betty Humphrey of Salem, Indiana and Katherine Hunter of Linden, Indiana; six grandchildren, Robert Cochran, Stephanie Andrisko, Betty Hemingway, Cory Morris, Brian Marquand and Amanda Strong and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home  with Rev. David Hunter officiating.  Visitation: 9 to 11 am Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home.   Interment will be in Little York Cemetery.  Online condolences:www.collinsfuneralhome.net.
