Myrtyle Fay Smith

Myrtle Fay Smith, 77, Austin, died June 20, 2018, at Scottsburg.

Born August 3, 1940, Batesville, Clay County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Richard Vires and Mary Johnson Vires.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors includ a son: Edward Smith and wife Mary, Crothersville; a brother: Herbert Vires, Arizona; a sister, Patsy Dehart, Florida; grandchildren: Victoria Rudolph, Brandon Smith, Vanessa Warren; great-grandchildren: Brett Warren, Judson, Smith, Jayleigh Schepman, Reagan Rudolph, Annabel Rudolph.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lois Smith; son, Rick Smith

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018, at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home. Funeral service with Herbie White officiating will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Spurgeon Cemetery.
