Marna Fewell Hodson

Marna Fewell Hodson, 78, Scottsburg died on Jan. 4, 2019, at Scottsburg. Born Oct. 3, 1940, in Santa Monica, California, she was the daughter of Gordon E. Fewell and Marjorie Kattman Fewell.

She loved writing poetry and reading novels. She earned a BA from I.U. and Masters from Purdue and was a retired teacher in public schools in Hammond, Indiana. She was a member of Scottsburg United Methodist Church, Scottsburg Poetry Club and Scott County Historical Society.

Survivors are:

Daughter: Tara Hodson, Chesterton Indiana; brother: Dennis Fewell (Brenda), Scottsburg; sisters-in-law: Bonnie Fewell and Marsha Burns Fewell; grandchildren: Kaven Kolb and Rina Hector.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; son: Troy Hodson; brothers: Terry Fewell and Randy Fewell.

VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019  at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home and noon to 1 p.m. at Scottsburg United Methodist Church.

FUNERAL SERVICE:    1 p.m.  Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Scottsburg United Methodist Church.
