Linda S. Kendall, 71, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on May 14, 1947 in Ladoga, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Ambrose.
Linda graduated from Lawrence High School in Indianapolis, Indiana and earned her Master's Degree from Indiana University. She was married on Oct. 20, 1974 to Thomas R. Kendall, who passed away on August 2, 2012. Linda was a retired special education teacher at Scottsburg Middle School. She worked previously as a licensed beautician and cosmetologist, while going to school for her education degree.
Linda loved her children, grandchildren, family, friends and her dog, Penny. She was a fantastic cook and liked playing gin rummy.
In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Moore.
Survivors include two sons, Jamie C. Kendall and wife Jessica of Scottsburg, Indiana and Jason A. Kendall and wife Raven of Cabot, Arkansas; three brothers, Butch Ambrose and wife Darlene of Westfield, Indiana, Rick Ambrose and wife Carolyne of Nashville, Indiana and Howard Ambrose and wife Becky of Ladoga, Indiana; four grandchildren, Chandler, Logan, Emma and Cohen Kendall and her best friend, Belinda Rathert of South Bend, Indiana.
Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home with Chaplain Joe Bradley officiating.
Visitation: 10 am to 12 Noon Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
