Edward C. "Charlie 2 Feathers" Bowling, 80, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 5, 1938 in Perry County, Kentucky, the son of the late Edmond and Nancy Bowling. Charlie was a machinist for Cummins Engine Company in Walesboro, Indiana where he worked for 30 years, retiring in 1987. After retirement he helped build numerous houses for himself and his family. Charlie was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church in Vienna, Indiana, graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1956, served in the Tank Division of the Indiana Army Reserves and was a former member of the Scott County Saddle Club. He loved to play Euchre and fish.

Charlie was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Collins; a brother, Harrison Tucker Bowling and a sister, Ruth Peterson.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Dorothy (Deaton) Bowling; a son, Scott Bowling (Joyce) Bowling of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Ginger D. Miranda (Victor) of Georgetown, Kentucky; a son-in-law, Andrew Collins of Louisville, Kentucky; a sister, Louella Sims of Austin, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Sadie Bowling of Scottsburg, Indiana; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday, November 5, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home with Victor Miranda officiating.

Visitation: 5 to 8 pm Sunday and after 10 am Monday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in Spurgeon Cemetery near Austin, Indiana. Memorial Contributions: Gideon Living Memorial Bible Plan c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
