Ebert T. McCreery

Ebert T. McCreery, 73, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born in Macon, Georgia on November 26, 1944.
Ebert graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1963. He started working for Cummins Engine Company in 1968 and retired after 31 years of service in 1999.  Ebert had worked at both the Columbus and Seymour Plants. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed square dancing and clogging. Ebert loved anything to do with Mickey Mouse and John Deere Tractors and was an avid Indiana University Basketball fan. 
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Everitt McCreery, on Jan. 9, 2002. Ebert then married Janie M. (Chambers) McCreery on Aug. 2, 2002.  Survivors in addition to his wife Janie, include two stepsons, Zachary A. Riley (Billie) of Austin, Indiana and Jack Riley (Donna) of Henryville, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Ginger White (Scott) of Seymour, Indiana; two sisters, Lillian A. Rutherford and his twin sister, Mary A. Miller both of Scottsburg, Indiana; six grandchildren, Rebecca A. Cardinal, Joseph Riley (Leslie), Stephen Riley (Annelisa), Breanne, Jalyn and Cade Riley and eight great grandchildren, Chauncey, Bladyn, Emerson, Carter, Reagan, Emma, Jonah and Charlyi.
