YMCA’s Health Families Day this Saturday

The Washington County Family YMCA is planning an outdoor Healthy Families Day, along with a 5K, on Sept. 12. Registration fee is $35. All 5K runners will receive a race shirt. Registration for the 10 and under, free fun run is also required.

There will be healthy food choices, resource booths, a Nerf war, group exercise demonstrations all set up outside the Y. It should be a morning of fun!

The active schedule for the morning of health, wellness, and recreation is as follows:

7:30 a.m. - 5K registration opens

•$35 registration on day of race.

•Prizes will be awarded, shirts will be given to all runners.

8:30 a.m. - 5K begins.

9 a.m. - Resource booths open in the parking lot and Nerf war begins on the soccer field.

9:30 a.m. - Fun run for kids 10 and under, FREE, but please register.

9:40 to 11 a.m. - Group exercise demonstrations on the field.

10 a.m. - Resource booths continue.

11 a.m. - Soccer begins, booths close.
