Tractor accident is fatal

A tractor accident Friday afternoon proved fatal to a Hardinsburg man.
Washington County Sheriff Roger Newlon said Joe McKinley, 27, Marengo Pike, has died as a result of injuries he suffered when a tractor turned over on him Friday afternoon. Newlon said the accident occurred at 3 p.m., however it was several hours before McKinley was discovered.
He was alert and the tractor was removed by the time first responders arrived. He was flown from the scene and later died at University of Louisville Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
McKinley was a graduate of West Washington High School.
