Thank a Veteran Sunday

Elmer Hamilton 1946

The 25th annual Campbellsburg Country Festival winds down Sunday with a parade led by WWII veteran, Elmer Hamilton. Come out and say thanks to Elmer. He was suprised and excited to be named this year's grand parade marshall. Sue Bennett who helps organize the festival said, “Elmer is a very good man. We try to pick people who have been important to the community.” Elmer has always made Campbellsburg his home, returning after serving in war. He married his wife, Shirley and they raised three boys, Frankie, Brett and Pat and one daughter, Jan (Shelton).

The parade is at 3 p.m. The festival starts on Friday at 5 p.m. and ends Sunday at 7 p.m.
