State of the Child 2018: Key Challenges and Solutions for Our Kids

By:
Monika Spaulding, Digital Editor

What are the top challenges for kids in Washington County and Indiana as a whole—and what do we do about them?

The community is invited to the Youth Worker Cafe on Wednesday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the meeting room of the county government center  on Martinsburg Rd. to discuss these issues.

This session will provide the latest data from the 2018 Indiana KIDS COUNT® Data Book and county snapshots, as well as best practice research on successful approaches to key child well-being issues.

There will be robust and data-driven discussion on both problems and solutions in areas such as family and community, economics, education, health and safety. Participants will leave armed with the information and strategies they need to begin making change for kids at the community level.

The speaker will be the Impact and Data Solutions Team, Indiana Youth Institute.
