Senior farmer’s market vouchers available 

Hoosier Uplands will be taking applications for senior farmer’s market vouchers on a first come, first serve basis in Washington, Lawarence and Orange counties. The Washington County locations are the Washington Co. Farmer’s Market and Cornucopia Farm. 

To apply, you must be at least 60 years old, or if disabled, living in a senior housing facility with a congregate nutrition service; live within Hoosier Uplands service area or an adjacent area that is not being served; have a household income of no more than 185% of poverty or participating in Commodity Supplemental Food Program or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and provide proof of income, notice of eligibility in other relevant program, and driver’s license or state ID card or birth certificate.

Those who qualify in Washington County can apply Friday, July 13, at 10 a.m. at the Salem Washington County Senior Center, 1705 N. Shelby St.
