Salem City Council woman arrested on drug related charges

The Salem Police Department responded to domestic dispute early Tuesday morning and as a result, Salem City Council woman Gail Napier is facing a number of drug related charges.

The charges include possession of marijuana hash oil hashish or salvia, possession of paraphernalia, possession or use of legend drug or precursor and maintaining a common nuisance.

Also arrested was a daughter, Annie Napier, who was charged with possession of marijuana hash oil hashish or salvia and maintaining a common nuisance.

Napier was elected to the city council in the 2019 general election.

At this point these are just charges and both are innocent of the charges until proven guilty in a court of law.
