Remembering the Bearcats

The reunion always includes a display of memorabilia, such as these old uniforms and team photos, along with many yearbooks.

Alumni of the old Hardinsburg High School gathered as they have for decades on May 11th to remember the good times of their high school days. Hardinsburg High's colors were green and gold and the mascot was the Bearcat. That name lives on today in the Bearcat Civic Center on U.S. 150, where the alumni banquets are held.

The high school closed in 1963 with the opening of the new West Washington High School. The memories, however, will never die. While the group grows a bit smaller each year, the former classmates very much look forward to their annual meeting.
