Bessie Mae Campbell
In loving memory of Ms. Bessie Mae Campbell, age 72, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, February 7 at Baptist Health Floyd surrounded by her family.
Ms. Campbell was born March 7, 1951 in Logan, West Virginia the daughter of Arnold William Smith and Sadie Ann Browning Smith. She was retired from Morgan Foods in Seymour.
Bessie is survived by her daughter: Danine Smith of Pekin, a brother: Charles Smith of Newark, Ohio, a niece: Regina Akers of Newark, Ohio, two grandsons: Brandon Alan Gibson of Pekin, and Kaden Wayne Gibson also of Pekin, and three great-grandchildren: Cole Alan Gibson, Anniston Lane Gibson, and Brynlee Dean Gibson.
She is preceded in death by a brother: Robert L. Smith, a sister: Sadie Jean Akers, a nephew: Stevie Smith, a niece: Teresa Smith, her former husband: Glen Campbell, and her parents.
Per Bessie’s wishes cremation was chosen and there will be no services.
