Longest summer break ever

Evan, Kinsey, Daniel, almost 2, Iris, 12, Donevan, 10, Clara, 8, Clark, 7, Millie, 3, and Cort "Chub," 5, will set out for the trip of a lifetime this next year, visiting all 50 states in an RV.

Summer break just started, but when their classmates start heading back to school, the Zinser children won't be joining them. Not in person, anyway.

The Zinser family, Evan, Kinsey and their seven children, almost 2 to 12, will be setting out on a year-long, nation-wide adventure, hoping to visit all 50 states in their RV.

“[Evan’s] dad passed away about 10 years ago and since then, it’s really put us in the perspective of life is short and you never know what’s going to happen and you might as well live your life to the fullest,” said Kinsey. “Do what you can, see what you can, live all the experiences.”

She said the idea to do this actually began a few years ago, before they moved to the Washington County area and before Millie and Daniel were born. The time wasn’t right and they held off, but now, everything has fallen into place and they plan to set off on their family adventure in July.

“We’re at a place now where we want to do it,” said Kinsey. “When [Evan] originally had the idea, I was like, ‘Well, I don’t know.’ I wasn’t sure we could all live together like that … Now, we don’t really have an infant anymore and no one is in high school yet and involved in too much at school. It’s the time we get to do this.”
