Heavy spring rains detreimental to farmers

Extremely consistent and heavy rain –it's rained about half the year thus far – has been a huge hindrance to farmers in the Midwest. Local farmers efforts to get crops in the ground have been stymied by the consistent rain and soggy ground.

In today's Leader, we talk to the Purdue Extension Ag Educator the county's Farm Bureau president and a crop insurance salesman to get their take on the season.
