Church seeks community support for county’s largest egg hunt

Legacy Life Church will be hosting its 12th Annual Easter Egg Event on March 31 from noon-4 p.m. at the Salem Community Park. 

The church loves to be able to see the community come together and enjoy a fun-filled event with their families. This event started with around 4,000 eggs and has grown to over 12,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes. 

Legacy Church provides an egg hunt for all ages and will have a special needs egg hunt again this year as well. 

There will be drawings for prizes such as tickets from the Louisville Zoo, Indianapolis Speedway, cinemas, as well as bicycles, and much more. 

The church relies on the generosity of local churches, businesses, and individuals to help us accomplish this fun, FREE event every year. Businesses and churches may set up booths for food or for their own drawing and giveaways. 

The church needs your help more this year than ever. Due to last year’s flood, they lost most of their inventory and in an effort to continue to grow and maintain this event, they are starting earlier with their request for help. This will allow them to make sure they are prepared for this community gathering that never fails to grow each and every year! Here are some ways that you can be involved:

1. Join them by having a booth with food or a prize.

2. Volunteer to serve by directing parking, help in a booth, manage the cake walk, supervise the bouncy house area, etc.

3. Prize donations. 

4. Financial donations.

5. Donation of individual wrapped candy-filled eggs (no chocolate please- it melts!).

6. Cake walk/baked goods donation.

7. Attend and take part of the events and activities.

This is a community event dedicated to children and children at heart. Legacy Church asks there be no campaigning or distributing of political material at the event. This is a time to have fun and enjoy time with family, friends, and future friends! They are so excited for you to be a part of it!
